Spring-summer vitamin smoothie with kale
Green vitamin smoothie
If you’re looking to eat more green, the spring-summer period is the perfect time to do so – everything fresh and healthy is coming into its own! Kale and spinach go well in a smoothie, as do young dandelion leaves that have just popped their heads out. Combined with sweet fruit, green leafy vegetables make a great combination of flavours without the fear of unpleasant ‘grassy’ tastes. Plenty of vitamins are guaranteed! Plus, it’s a clever way to get more greens into your kids’ diets too. If you’d like to try a green smoothie, here’s a delicious recipe for you.
Servings: for two smoothie lovers
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
For preparation you will need:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 100 g kale, spinach or other green leaves of your choice (for example young dandelion leaves).

- 200 g mango, fresh or frozen and thawed
- 100 ml water or coconut water (or add more liquid depending on the texture of the smoothie you want).
How to make a smoothie?
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until a smooth, silky texture is achieved. Drink immediately!
