Curry is a spice blend based on the Indian spice “garam masala” that has gained popularity all over the world. Curry was first used in the 18th century when Indian traders invented an all-in-one seasoning for British consumers, allowing the English to conveniently prepare Indian dishes. There are many different curry blends, but almost all of them include basic ingredients such as turmeric, coriander, cumin, and black pepper, to which other herbs and spices are added.
The main ingredient in curry, turmeric, is derived from the turmeric plant (Curcuma longa), a member of the ginger family. This tropical plant grows mainly in South Asia, especially in India, where it has been cultivated and used for centuries.
The combination of spices in curry powder stimulates various regions of the tongue and makes it pleasantly addictive. Curry dishes can become a negative addiction if unhealthy components like flavor enhancers (MSG) or harmful oils like canola oil are added. However, pure herbs and spices will be positively uplifting for both body and soul.
BIOMENU organic, mild curry seasoning is suitable for use in the same way curry powder is always used: in stews and baked dishes, in rice and vegetable dishes and, of course, in curry sauces. For a spicier dish, feel free to add black pepper, cayenne pepper or chilli spice to BIOMENU Curry Powder.
BIOMENU Mild Curry Powder is a blend of 16 different spices: paprika, onion, turmeric, cumin, jalapeno, tomato, chives, coriander, fenugreek, garlic, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, ginger, nutmeg, lemon myrtle. All spices in the curry mix are of certified organic origin. Is not salt-free – contains a little bit of flower salt.
What makes this particular curry powder special is the fact that it is rather mild and not very spicy. This allows you to bring curry flavor to all your dishes, including those that don’t require spiciness.

The recipe is flexible and can be tailored to individual preferences by preparing it either raw, baked, fat-free or with coconut milk.
