The taste of maple cream

The taste of maple cream is difficult to describe, you have to try it yourself. Maple cream might best be described as something between condensed milk and honey. It has an irresistibly delicious flavor, similar to a Raffaello candy or another sweet treat, yet it’s made with 100% pure ingredients. And really body-friendly!

How to use maple cream?

You can use maple cream in a wide range of desserts, but also on top of pancakes or fruit. Of course, you can also enjoy maple cream straight from the jar. We’ve heard it tastes great on bread and even on toast. You can use it as a baking ingredient in cakes and muffins or add it to tea or smoothies instead of sugar.

Production of maple cream

The maple cream is made from Grade A maple syrup. First, the maple syrup is heated to 100ºC and then allowed to cool to 52ºC. Then begins mixing until the liquid turns creamy. Maple cream can also be made successfully at home. See the maple cream tutorial here!

Classification of maple syrup

Maple syrup is divided into different grades and their price depends on the harvest period. In Europe, three mainly consumed classes are: Class A, B and C.
Grade A maple syrup is in amber colour and is usually harvested during the first two weeks of the maple sap harvest.

Maple cream storage

After opening, store in the refrigerator or at room temperature with the lid closed to prevent the cream from drying out. It can be stored for ~1 month at room temperature – if it lasts that long ;).
